ProBleu engages school communities in the “Restoring Ocean and Waters” Mission. The project aims to expand the Network of European Blue Schools, promote citizen science, and offer educational materials and funding opportunities. Blue Schools encourage student engagement with ocean and freshwater topics, nurturing a sense of responsibility.

Plastic Pirates – Go Europe! is one of the largest citizen science projects in which students and young adults across Europe are empowered to become scientists themselves. In schools classes or youth group, participants venture to rivers and coasts to collect scientific data about macro- and micro-plastic pollution in Europe’s waterways.

The initiative is part of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters and the European Research Area (ERA) policy agenda action 14 “Bringing citizens closer to science”.

A-AAGORA is a Horizon Europe project that intends to demonstrate the reduction of pressures in three coastal areas (Norway, Ireland and Portugal) via technological, social, logistical and economic innovation. This will be achieved by applying ecosystem-based management and nature-based solutions to boost resilience to climate change and mitigate its impacts.

The project is part of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters within the “Atlantic-Arctic lighthouse”.

TIDAL ArtS is a Horizon Europe project that combines the power of art and science to inspire. Using a tidal logic, the project fosters connections between disciplines and species, and offers grants to artists, collectives, and creatives to support the European Union’s Mission to Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030. By taking water as both a subject and praxis, TIDAL ArtS engages with the cyclical movement of water as a co-design methodology.

The project is part of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters.

PartArt4OW is a Horizon Europe project dedicated to building an emotional attachment between people and our oceans and water besins. By supporting 19 diverse participatory art initiatives across Europe, the project aims to inspire meaningful engagement and promote solutions that can be scaled and shared to protect and restore our waters for future generations.

The project is part of the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters and endorsed by the UN Decade of Ccean Science.

LIFE-PROMETHEUS is dedicated to marine biodiversity conservation in the Mediterranean Sea, focusing on reducing bycatch, promoting sustainable fisheries, and supporting eco-friendly tourism to protect sharks, rays, and other elasmobranch species. The project operates in twelve strategic Mediterranean locations, recognized as biodiversity hotspots and Essential Fish Habitats for sharks and rays.
