IOI Ocean Academy Course course in Turkey

Between 11 December 2023 and 11 January 2024, our partners, the Turkish Marine Research Foundation (TUDAV) and Yıldız Teknik University (YTU) organised a course for teachers entitled “IOI Ocean Academy Course: Marine Literacy Course for Teachers for the Protection and Sustainability of the Marine Ecosystem in Turkey”.

This course aimed to improved the ocean literacy of schools teachers and educators in Turkey. In total, 24 hours of online training were provided and teachers from 40 different schools participated in the course.

Teachers were also encouraged to organise events about ocean literacy within their school and apply to the SHORE open call.
