SHORE: Empowering students as the agents of change
Hi, we are the SHORE project!
SHORE in a nutshell
SHORE strives to increase ocean literacy by engaging students, teachers and schools in collaborative projects across five distinct regions: Baltic Sea, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Danube River, and Rhine River.
Participating schools will secure grants to support the implementation of their blue projects. 1OO grants will be provided through 3 open calls periods, offering up to 10,000 euros per grant. After a global voting session through the SHORE digital platform, the most outstanding school project will be awarded “Ocean Ambassador of the Year”.
SHORE also serves as a comprehensive resource hub and a bridge between researchers, local stakeholders, and schools in the regional areas. Through its Country Hubs, SHORE offers guidance to educators for the implementation of blue projects in schools and provides students with the right skills and knowledge to become eco-citizens. We will craft training and educational materials in line with blue curricula for schools.
